about the show.

‘Are We Home Yet’ is a large-scale installation creating a structure made from willow, reclaimed ribbon, and yarn woven into an oversized bird’s nest. It invites visitors into a soft, dappled light reminiscent of walking through a forest. It’s an immersive, calming space designed to evoke a sense of belonging - a feeling of “coming home”.

The installation acknowledges the  barriers and instability inherent to ‘meanwhile spaces’, as well as the broader context of global instability, including the housing crisis, refugees displaced from their homes, and the universal experience of displacement. Volunteers will help weave the structure, facilitating open conversations about home, space, and belonging. The installation is ephemeral, its impermanence reflecting its themes.
