Tommy Keenan lives and works in Newcastle upon Tyne. Keenan’s work are a reaction to figural representations of mass sexuality, particularly with cis straight male-identity. The objects blend between part-object-part-costume, and in turn, express uncertainty via the interchangeability of their function, fluctuating between macabre and kitsch to emphasise a fear of the domestic.

Tommy has recently exhibited at Reading Room Gallery (Sunderland) Gasleak Mountain (Nottingham), System Gallery (Newcastle) Republic Gallery (Blyth) & The Holy Art (London).
