Opening night

a man called Adam - power of three

Join us for the launch of Middlesbrough Art Week 2025 with an opening night trail through the town starting off with an exclusive performance of A Man Called Adam - The Power of Three (A Turbine Symphony)

A Man Called Adam will debut an uplifting audio visual work and live performance at a gala concert at Middlesbrough Town Hall on the opening night of the festival 2025.

Inspired by Redcar's offshore wind farm the work celebrates the turbines’ sculptural beauty and presence as a bridge between Teesside’s industrial past and its sustainable futures.

Featuring an ensemble of live musicians and a triptych of lyrical HD video, the symphonic composition will transpose the wind farm's inherent patterns into musical rhythms and motifs in three distinct movements that weave community narratives, serialist composition and pulsing electronic beats.
